Our golfers are a putt above

On Thursday 8 June our golfers were welcomed at Harleyford Golf Club in Marlow on a beautiful June summer day. Our teams battled it out with a high standard of competition with Fluent Money crowned as the winners. Congratulations!

Corporates Supporting EFTC CSR

Many of the teams lost the yellow ball given to them for a round-robin team competition, so well done to Nick Watling’s team for keeping hold of theirs!

At the 12th hole, the players had an extra challenge. They were met by the club’s pro golfer to see if they could drive their shot further. Brilliantly xx players were able to ‘Beat the Pro’ and the winning name out of the hat to win a range finder was Lawrence Fumagagalli.

Our teams including Aurium Capital, Greencoat Capital and Scalewell relaxed on the terrace meeting friends of old and making new ones as their fellow competitors completed their rounds. The gathered crowd then enjoyed dinner and an overview of our Medical Programme led by our school nurse, Celena, a former School of Hope student.

Via video, the teams heard directly from our students about how the medical programme helps them to stay healthy and the individualized support they receive when they are sick.

We were utterly delighted that attendance at the event, our raffle and supporting auction raised over £8,000 to towards the programme. An enormous thank you to all of our raffle and auction prize donors meaning that every penny raised on the day will go directly to Guatemala.

Our golf day is one of the highlights of our events calendar. If you would be interesting in joining us next year or would like to suggest a different event to fundraise to raise funds for The School of Hope, we’d love to hear from you. Just email events@eftc.org.uk or message us on social @eftcfoundation.
