Join Us In Guatemala

In July, Antigua Guatemala is a blissful 25 degrees every day, perfect for wandering its pastel-facade streetscapes that sit beneath three volcanoes.

Antigua Guatemala

Restored colonial buildings rub shoulders with picturesque ruins in park-like surroundings, where local vendors offer fresh fruit, ice cream and handcrafted souvenirs. It’s a place where mooching is rewarded. Hidden behind those facades, you’ll find a huge variety of cafes, bars, restaurants, gift shops and markets. This perfect holiday haven is just 15 minutes by tuk-tuk from The School of Hope. This July we invite you to join us in celebrating 20 years and experience all that Guatemala has to offer.

Guatemalan Volcanos Fuego, Pacaya, Acatenango

If you’re a first time visitor to Central America you may want to combine Antigua with volcano climbing, relaxing at idyllic Lake Atitlán or exploring ancient Mayan temples in the jungle at Tikal. Or combine Guatemala with a stop off in the US: Miami, Atlanta, Chicago and Washington DC are all fabulous cities with direct flights to Guatemala City.

Lake Atitlan Pool

If you’ve visited Guatemala before: remember how it felt to sit on that courtyard terrace with a beer and view of Fuego volcano? This time, why not combine your trip with a neighbouring country ? The wonderful Belize has jungle adventure and coral reefs for snorkelling aficionados.

If you or your family is unsure about visiting Central America, our UK Foundation Coordinator Boo Somers will chat with you about planning your trip. We’d love you to join for every event but recognize that everyone’s itinerary will be different. So whether you choose to join us at one element, or all of them, we’d be so thrilled to welcome you to Guatemala.
