"Volunteering makes you feel good. It resets your moral compass and it makes you stand up a couple of inches taller when you walk down the street."

Quote from an EFTC volunteer, October 2008

Description of Volunteer Positions

Volunteers generally help in the classrooms as assistant teachers. If a volunteer specialises in a certain skill, they are encouraged to use that skill. Volunteers can choose to work in our primary school, Escuela Proyecto La Esperanza or our secondary school, Escuela Proyecto La Esperanza - Nivel Basico.

Volunteers are also able to help in the office, in the kitchen, teach English and organise extra recreational activities for the children as well as help children with their homework.
