Sponsor a ChildThe bedrock of our funding is our dedicated child sponsorship programme. By securing regular donations for each child we can promise them the opportunity to complete the education they have begun.149 CHILDREN STILL NEED SPONSORS
Receiving pictures from the child you sponsor is just one of the highlights We look for 'padrinos' (godparents) for each of our children. As a 'padrino' (godfather) or 'madrina' (godmother), you will receive regular letters and inform We encourage you to write to your child and we hope you form a bond that will last for life. You will change the life of a child forever, develop a friendship with a particular child and provide much needed support for that child. You will receive photographs, a personal history and letters from your sponsor child updating you on their progress. There are two different levels of child sponsorship. Primary School- £300 per annum (£25 per month) Secondary School or College- £375 per annum (£31.25 per month) Madrina Debbie meets the little girl she sponsors; Ester Some quotes from sponsors" It gives us such pride to know that we are helping children get an education that will have a life time impact on their abilities and life chances, something they would otherwise not have got. Teacher Sponsorship
Our teachers are well paid by Guatemala standards and we feel this is important to retain the best quality teachers and to set a responsible example in paying a decent wage.As with child sponsorship you receive regular correspondence from the teacher with their progress and the progress of their class. The cost of sponsoring a teacher is currently £2,400 per annum or £200.00 per month.
