Julie Chappell - Ambassador to Guatemala
Julie Chappell is the British Ambassador to Guatemala. She heard about our project and came to look around the schools and learn a bit more about what we do.
She is a lovely lady and extremely down to earth. She was really interested in the project and was happy to visit some of our families, some of which live on the side of very steep, muddy hills!
We cannot thank Julie enough for her support and encouragement (and for the TV and Wallace and Gromit video which has been put in our safe house!!) and we look forward to working with her in the future.

Oscar Farrington- Mayor of Jocotenango
The Mayor of Jocotenango, Oscar Farrington, helped EFTC to arrange a health day at our school Escuela Proyecto la Esperanza.
With a team of doctors, dentists and healthcare specialists, the day gave local families the chance to have rare access to thorough health checks. Hundreds of children and their families came and were given the vital check ups and treatments that they need.
The Major also put us in contact with teams from local health clinics and from another NGO; Nuestros Ahijados.
Oscar Farrington was the official sponsor of our health day and we can't thank him enough for all of his help and support. He has also aided our safe house project and we hope he will continue to support us in the future.
