Join us on the challenge of a lifetime... climb 3 volcanoes in Guatemala in 3 days

In 2011, ten volunteers climbed 3 volcanoes in 3 days in Guatemala and raised over £20,000 for EFTC.

Another group of EFTC supporters will take on this enormous challenge once again in January 2012.

The challenge involves climbing three volcanoes (of which two are active!) in three days and camping on the volcanic slopes. You will trek to altitudes of 4000 metres, come up close to molten lava, and see some of the most breath taking views. The challenge will be one of the hardest but most rewarding things that you ever take on! With a little training and a lot of determination, anyone can manage this challenge so please please get in touch.

This year the trek runs from 28th to 30th January 2012. There will be plenty of opportunity to meet the children of our project as the challenge will coincide with the opening of our new school. Our base will be La Antigua, a beautiful colonial town, which is nearby to the school and two of the volcanoes can be seen from here.

The brave challengers confirmed so far this year are:

The event has been a great success over the past five years and we look forward to seeing you at our 2011 Dinner Dance- keep checking our Events page for details!
