Antigua is the picturesque former capital of Guatemala and is approximately 45 minutes from Guatemala City.

Antigua is an old colonial city with a view of the cones of Agua, Acatenango and Fuego volcanoes. It is a busy but small city filled with many ruins to explore as well as cafes, bars, restaurants and art galleries for both local and foreign tourists to enjoy. Antigua has a large number of Spanish schools and is very popular for learning Spanish, doing voluntary work and as a stop off point for backpackers traveling through Central America.

Antigua & Jocotenango

Jocotenango is town about 5 minutes from Antigua with a population of over 30,000. It is a busy and bustling place where traditional and urban living has combined and families face harsh realities in day-to-day life. As well as in the town itself many of the families of our students live in homes on the nearby cliff-edges of rural Vista Hermosa.
