April16 April, 2010 - British Embassy Dinner Guatemala (James Bond Theme!) Julie Chappell the British Ambassador to Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador is hosting a James Bond themed Charity British Ball. All proceeds from the event will be split between Education For The Children Foundation and another British Charity in Guatemala, 'Study Guatemala'. It's all in connection with the launch of British Week - a chance to raise the profile of the work that Julie does at the British Embassy and to celebrate all the great things that the British community are doing. 18 April, 2010 - Azotea Lunch Guatemala Education for the Children Foundation is hosting its first annual Sunday luncheon to raise awareness and funds for its project "La Esperanza" in Jocotenango and San Felipe which provides over 450 children with free education and social support.
May3 May, 2010 - The May Day 5K! There is less than a month to go until we hold our annual May Day Five Kilometre Run on Bank Holiday Monday and we would love you to get involved- whether you run it, walk it, do the course in fancy dress or make it a 3 legged race. We want each entrant to try and raise just £50 for EFTC through sponsorship- we’ll send you all the forms and info about the charity that you might need. The charity team will be leading groups in Nottingham and Manchester- but we hope that our supporters will take on the 5K challenge wherever you are- last year people also took part in London, Scotland and even Australia! August2 August, 2010 - Tommy Johnson Annual Golf Day This year to be held at a new venue Erewash Valley Golf Club near Nottingham for more details contact Amy, Emma or Carol on enquiries@eftc.org.uk or 0115 958 48 76. September18 September, 2010 - EFTC Skydive EFTC is holding a parachute jump and we are looking for fearless supporters to join us as we jump from a plane at 12,000 feet! Each member of the group needs to raise £350 in sponsorship- we’ll provide you with all the tools to help you raise the money for the children that desperately need it.
