T in the Park 2009

You helped us raise enough money to pay for 3000 meals

for hungry children!

The charity team spent several days camping at the fantastic T in the Park Festival in Kinross, Scotland.

One of our brilliant volunteers from Guatemala helped us to get involved at the festival where he works as a key member of staff... Sandy Reid has been a top supporter since 2008 and we can't thank him enough for all his work!

EFTC had a brilliant response from everyone who we talked to over the weekend and we received lots of donations and interest. We were really lucky to have been given signed memorabilia from some of the headlining acts and this helped us to raise hundreds of pounds on our raffle. Our traditional Guatemalan stall also got lots of interest and we sold dozens of bags, bracelets, scarves and worry dolls- and of course all of the profit goes straight back into the project.

Thanks to all of our brilliant volunteers

Top marks go to Mark for his time keeping, Boo for providing everything a camper could ever want, Soph for enthusiasm, Tony for coping in the smallest tent known to man, Dionne for talking anyone and everyone into supporting the charity, Amy for truck driving, Dave for pulling off the 3rd World Dictator image and as for Rick...

Also a big thanks to Emma who did a fab job of organisation and who sadly couldn't make it the festival.
