On bank holiday Monday, May 4th, we held our first
ever May Day fun run!

The challenge...
Two teams took part in the event; a group in London as well as the local supporters in
Nottingham. We had asked all of our supporters to run, walk, or cycle 5 kilometres
to help us raise money for Guatemala.
The fancy dress crew...
David Mckee, the chairman of the charity, raised a huge amount of money for the
Foundation... not least because he donned yellow tights, and a padded chicken suit!
Kevin McMenamin (a Charity Trustee)was also persuaded to wear a rooster costume and
supporter Alex Chamberlain was bribed into wearing a dress!
Emma, Emily and Amy, commonly known as the 'Charity Chicks' showed their support by
dressing up as chicks! And baby Luca also made the effort by dressing up as spiderman.

It was embarassing but fun- and all for a very good cause!
Ups and Downs...
The group had a great day despite the terrible weather, and only one group got lost...
but even this detour worked out for the best thanks to a donation from a couple of
bemused fisherman!

The leaders of the pack were Bez, Tadek and Ozzie who managed to finish the course
in under 25 minutes.
Everyone did a brilliant job by getting sponsorship and running or
walking the course. A huge thank you goes out to everyone involved-
you were all brilliant and we think we will have raised over £2500!!
A massive thank you also goes out to everyone who sponsored us. Your generosity will
make a huge difference to the children in Guatemala.
If you haven't yet sponsored us and would like to, you can still donate by going to

Another day in the office....

Stani, Zyggy and Kasia show the group how it's done...

Dancing in the rain....
